The story behind this piece

You Are Enough was made with youth in mind, especially my daughter, and anyone coming up in a world that makes identity feel like a performance. It is for the kid who is trying to find their place, trying to name what they feel, trying to make sense of who they are while carrying pressure they don’t even have words for yet.

A lot of people get stuck in one loud category, usually sexuality, because it becomes the easiest label for the world to grab onto. Sometimes it becomes the only thing people see. Sometimes it becomes the only thing a young person thinks they are allowed to be. But this piece is not about reducing anyone to one part of themselves. It is the opposite. It is a reminder that you are a whole person first. Your worth is not up for debate, and it is not something you earn by being understood, approved of, or chosen.

The deeper message is simple and serious. We are born enough. Not because we got everything right. Not because we have it all figured out. Enough because we exist on purpose. Enough because we were put here with breath in our lungs and something to offer this world, even if we don’t know what that is yet.

This artwork speaks to the muted feelings too. The ones people hide to survive. The ones covered up by acting tough, acting fine, acting unbothered. It is for the kid who feels too much and for the kid who feels nothing because they have had to shut it down. It is for the kid who is tired of trying to “become” lovable.

Perfectly Imperfect is built around the belief that growth is messy and still holy. You do not have to be perfect to be worthy. You do not have to be certain to be valuable. You don’t have to prove your right to exist.

You Are Enough is a steady statement in a noisy world. Before you chase approval, before you chase identity, before you chase achievement, remember this. You already belong. You already matter. You already have purpose. That alone makes you enough.
